The Account Director is responsible for building long term partnerships with the top agencies and brands into the local market, to educate and inform them about commercial opportunities with Newsroom AI. Brand Stories, our flagship commercial product, allows brands and agencies to create and distribute their stories programmatically with top tier publishers in the local market - as well as global names such as The Guardian, The New York Times, Bloomberg, CNN, The Telegraph, Yahoo, etc.

Responsibilities:
  • Become a product and domain expert around Brand Stories, and share that expertise with customers
  • Prospect and closing business with a targeted list of agency and advertiser accounts
  • Partner with brands agencies to develop transformational content strategies touching all areas of their business and develop best practices and benchmarking initiatives to optimize agency-related processes. 
  • Be accountable to targets and product adoption.
  • Deeply understand the customers’ business to help them understand how to best leverage the possibilities offered by the Newsroom AI platform
  • Prepare and conduct presentations as well as develop case studies of successful campaigns in order to share insights with agencies and attend events and conferences as required.
  • Represent Newsroom AI in the wider marketplace as a leader and influencing change in the marketing & agency industry
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other teams and partners within and outside of Newsroom AI
  • Work closely with Client Services, Ad Operations, and Sales Planning, to ensure client campaign expectations are communicated internally
  • Build a case for team expansion to 5+ in the market over the next 12 months

Performance Profile:
  • 3-5 years of prior digital media sales experience is required, ideally within mobile or video
  • Significant Creative/Media agency and/or Consultancy experience with strong understanding of business drivers in digital and tech
  • Proven ability to manage all aspects of the sales process; prospect, discovery, presentation, negotiation, service and renewal.
  • Strong programmatic and managed service knowledge/experience
  • Strong knowledge of and existing dynamics within the industry
  • Ability to build relationships with top marketing decision makers.
  • Skilled Storyteller and Presenter, with experience communicating the benefit of marketing opportunities to partners and brands, with an emphasis on translating insights, product information, and data to client value.
  • Solid understanding of business drivers in verticals sectors such as telecom, consumer packaged goods, auto or finance

Our London office is based at the bright and spacious WeWork London Victoria. We offer a flexible 3-days in the office and 2 days remote work setup.
