The Sales Strategy Lead is responsible for supporting our global business portfolio, while providing insights that inspire the commercial and creative teams to develop innovative solutions for our clients. We’re seeking a strategic thinker with a passion for media and a collaborative work ethic and creative mindset.

Commercial
team:

The Commercial team is a motivated and results-oriented group that drives usage and long-term adoption of our platform with Brand and Agencies. We seek candidates who are analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in an energetic environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Be the lead business partner for our global Commercial Sales teams and partners that are taking local products to market (+£10M / year)
  • Design workflows and playbooks for sales teams
  • Work closely with local commercial leads, creative and operations teams to develop and execute initiatives designed to optimize sales team efficiency and productivity 
  • Lead, mentor and  onboard new commercial partners in becoming successful at taking our products to local markets
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality strategic insights for clients, using research and data to inform our media and creative recommendations
  • Ensure that our value proposition is clear with our pitches and supports the wider mission of the company
  • Travel as needed, when appropriate into EMEA and APAC 
  • Determine go-to-market approaches and sales structures
  • Ensuring our work meets client needs and builds Newsroom AI’s reputation in the industry
  • Drive adoption of internal standards, supporting industry best practices and key digital metrics across our strategy, creative and client services
Performance Profile:
  • Significant Creative/Media agency and/or Consultancy experience with strong understanding of business drivers in digital and tech
  • Proven ability to manage all aspects of the sales process; prospect, discovery, presentation, negotiation, service and renewal.
  • Intimate knowledge of media publishers, social media and branded content landscapes
  • Experience in people management and team mentorship
  • Significant experience applying research and insights to strategic and creative programs
  • Skilled Storyteller and Presenter, with experience communicating the benefit of marketing opportunities to partners and brands, with an emphasis on translating insights, product information, and data to client value.
  • Creative, resourceful and adaptable, able to find solutions to problems
Office:

Our London office is based at the bright and spacious WeWork London Victoria. We offer a flexible 3-days in the office and 2 days remote work setup.
